The World was once plagued by an infectious darkness until 6 powerful mages banished these shadows to the edges of the world we know today. Born into this realm, you all have received an invite to Elysian by its overseeing Dreamweavers, both to help lend your skills towards the preservation of this world as well as enjoying the sanctuary they have worked so hard to build.While perfect on the surface this well kept facade seems to be hiding something sinister beneath it. Will you accept this bliss blindly or lose yourself trying to find what this rose-tinted city is trying to hide?Elysian SMP is a whimsical fantasy SMP with a psychological horror twist.

Elysian, the city of light, is tended to by the decedents of the first Dreamweavers who cast away the darkness all those years ago. Each of the █ 5 Dreamweavers oversees their own district, each making strives to spread the hope of the world in their own special ways. Elysian itself has been built atop a large deposit of magic, allowing the Dreamweavers to cast miracles with ease. The city shines as a beacon and a bulwark in a world still surrounded by shadow should you venture far enough. You have been called here to help strengthen the light of this city as well as being able to call it your very own sanctuary.Magic is intrinsically tied to the world we live in. Being in the people and nature itself. While being an innate part of every one of us, harnessing magic comes less easily. A volatile and living energy, the study of magic, while widespread, still takes many years to refine. Very few magical practitioners are able to reach the skill that the sorcerers of eld once reached, Elysian's Dreamweavers being a prime example of the best of the best, levels of power that up-and-coming mages strive for.[ NOTE : This setting is PURELY fantasy, refrain from including moderness in your characters! ]

Special Concepts

The Dreamweavers are a special class of Mage, the ones powerful enough to keep the darkness at the edges of our world at bay. There is said to be other covens of Dreamweavers protecting their own lands from the ever spreading darkness, but through the thick barrier that surrounds the world these others are difficult to reach. The Dreamweavers protect and oversee Elysian leading their own respective Districts.The Whimsacreatures are beings made of pure magic conjured up by the Dreamweavers. They are here to assist both the Dreamweavers in their tasks, but also the residents of Elysian.Despite being shunned to the very corners of our minds the darkness has always been too strong. Although not present in the city it still has a way of seeping into your mind. In the darker days the darkness itself preyed on negativity, latching onto those with doubts, anxieties, and hate. Even with the shadows banished if your Sanity slips too low the darkness will swallow you whole. So if you are ever in need of assistance big or small, reach out to your local Dreamweavers and Whimsacreatures, they’re here to help! No issue is to small.Every creature has a soul, and therefor has a type of soul.
Your soul type is the main emotion or state that your sanity depends on so be careful!( NOTE: ESMP runs on a SANITY system, not a life system )
